about

This month I work two jobs, one that requires me to take the train to the East and another, a bus towards the west. In the center is home, my studio, my girlfriend and our pet bird.

On Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays my alarm rings at 730am, I snooze a little, sometimes till 8, shower, eat breakfast, tidy my hair, pack my bag, use the loo, and try to leave by 9am. Then I check the bus app to see if the bus at Block 220 will come in 5 minutes or more. I make a run to the bread store and buy the chicken floss bread. The same one every morning. The lady at the counter asks if I need a bag. I tell her no, every morning. Then I make a dash to the bus stop while eating the bread. If I have less than 5 minutes I have to walk to the further bus stop to take a bus to the train station.

I take the bus about 3 stops and then a train for 1 stop and then change lines at the station and take it for about 6 stops, then change lines again at another station before reaching Kembangan station. I then wait for a bus to the industrial building I work at, about 4 stops away. I reach at about 10:05 to 10:10am. The journey to the East is almost exactly an hour long.

At my other job I wake up earlier because I start at 9am. I shower and brush my teeth, drink my coffee, use the loo, and leave at 8:15 to 8:20am. I walk to buy some bread. And then walk to another bus stop far away. But I have two buses, 851 and 852 and they always come really fast in the morning. I thank god when the bus comes but I don’t believe in god and I have a bad impression of Christianity. I get on the bus and get off about 20 minutes later, perhaps about 9 stops away. I walk 7 minutes to my work place.

I stretch myself in two directions for most of the week and come home to a parrot that doesn’t recognise me anymore.
