"Besides the uncanny atmosphere of the piano keys, he album offers also a great way to sneak-peak the everyday life of the artist's family" ENGLISH: bit.ly/2xlDv2lFavorite track: Grandma's Piano (22/03/2018, 5:35pm).
"There is this piano at Grandma's house probably only 3 or 4 years younger than I am. My cousins used to go for piano lessons and would practice on that piano. I never knew how to play it and refrained from doing so throughout my childhood.
About 3 years back when I was starting to write music on my own and branching out from playing the guitar, I found myself playing with Grandma's piano whenever I visited. It's as if it was finally the right time for me to fall in love with it. Playing the piano, appreciating its sounds, was suddenly something easy and intuitive. I had this idea to make an album called Learning. I was to record my attempts to learn piano. It was also a plan to make me spend more time with Grandma.
Grandma passed away very suddenly on the morning of 22 March 2018, exactly a month ago. I had some recordings on my Iphone of Grandma's piano but it has been difficult to get myself to listen to them again.
The seven tracks from this album were made at various points in time with Grandma's piano."
